Sean Lyndersay, Microsoft Edge program manager, said "the future of Internet Explorer on Windows 10 is in Microsoft Edge." This was the company's plan to slowly phase out Internet Explorer. In fact, there were no more feature developments for Internet Explorer from 2016 since Microsoft came up with a new browser - Microsoft Edge. However, by 2003, the browser reached saturation point with around 95 percent usage share, but new browsers came in from other companies which eventually led to the Internet Explorer's user base falling in the following years. Later versions of the browser were available as free downloads, or in-service packs, and included in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) service releases of Windows 95 and later versions of Windows. First introduced to the world in 1995 as part of the add-on package Plus! for Windows 95 that year, the Internet Explorer was a significant part of our lives while growing up. It is time to bid farewell to our deal old friend, the Internet Explorer.
